Degrees Offered

Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy

Areas of Specialization

The Master of Science degree program is intended to provide the background required for a career in research, development, or education. Programs are developed for each graduate student on an individual basis. However, it should be anticipated that the general areas of design, processes, materials, nondestructive evaluation, and plastic / polymer composite joining will be included.

Students pursuing the doctoral degree program are expected to carry out in-depth study and research in one of the welding engineering areas such as processes, materials, design, nondestructive evaluation, or plastic / polymer composite joining. Beyond the area of in-depth study, students are expected to develop a broad knowledge in all areas comprising the field.
